Utility Worker II/III Position

The City of Siletz is seeking a full-time Utility Worker II/III.  We are looking for a reliable, professional worker with strong mechanical aptitude and an Oregon Driver’s License with a clean driving record.

Worker will be required to perform on-call evenings, weekends on a rotation basis, as well as the ability to perform manual labor in inclement weather.

A minimum of 1 year experience in either Water or Wastewater operation is preferred

A strong mechanical aptitude is also preferred

Must be able to obtain Grade 1 Water or Wastewater Certification within 1 year

High School Graduation Certificate or the equivalent is required

Employees pay for their own training materials up front. Upon a completed test with a passing grade employees will be compensated by the City of Siletz. The City of Siletz will not reimburse any moneys for testing that was not completed with a passing grade. This cost will be the sole responsibility of the employee.

Comp Time (at time& half) given for Weekend Duty Hours Worked and Evening ER Call Outs
